Oswego Schools Battle Bullying

“Blue Shirt Day.”

OSWEGO, NY – World Day of Bullying Prevention was held on Monday with “Blue Shirt Day.”

Oswego Middle School student Sophie Woods (second from left) brought the idea to Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist.

The entire Oswego City School District participated.

Among the participants at the Oswego Middle School are (in front) Kaleya Dawley, Woods, Zach Zary and Nick Holland.

In back are Superintendent Crist and OMS Principal Mary Beth Fierro.

World Day of Bullying Prevention was also a part of the Charles E. Riley Elementary School Day.

Students created artwork recognizing the problem.

Among the students posing near the art pieces were Sara Boyzuck, Peyton Roy, Anthony Ascenzi, Miranda Gilbert and Skye Ryan in back are Art Teacher Rebecca Woods and Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist.
