Oswego Speedway Featured in Performance Racing Industry Magazine

OSWEGO, NY – As a final tribute to Oswego Speedway’s banner 2014 racing season, the ‘Steel Palace’ was recently featured in the November edition of Performance Racing Industry Magazine, widely recognized as “The Voice of the Racing Marketplace” worldwide.

Since 1986, Performance Racing Industry has served tens of thousands of racing entrepreneurs as their key source for industry trends, merchandising ideas, new products, and business strategies.

With issues between 130 and 380+ pages, it is the most closely read magazine inside racing.

Strictly for the racing trade, PRI connects manufacturers of racing products and technology to racing retailers, engine builders, car builders and warehouse distributers, in addition to thousands of professional race teams.

The Speedway was featured as the Race Track Profile in the latest 396 page edition of Performance Racing Industry Magazine, with the eight page story penned by Karen Zurvalec, based on an interview with Speedway PR Director Dan Kapuscinski.

The article, which can be viewed online at www.performanceracing.com, covered everything from the Speedway’s storied history, to its recent reemergence as a nationally recognized short track facility with new owners John and Eric Torrese, as well as Oswego Kartway.

“Oswego Speedway is known across all corners of our country for its history and its unique weekly Supermodified division, but the privilege of being included in this month’s Performance Racing Industry Magazine serves as a well appreciated gesture from the racing community that the Speedway is again building its brand and marketability to our peers,” said Kapuscinski.  “We’re absolutely honored that PRI thought highly enough of our Speedway to include us as the Race Track Profile for the show issue of Performance Racing Industry Magazine.”

The show issue refers to the annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, which annually attracts 48,000 members of the racing industry from 72 countries to the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind.

With more than 1,200 companies exhibiting in 3,000 booths, the PRI Trade Show is the largest auto racing tradeshow to the worldwide racing marketplace.

The three-day show will take place from December 11-13, with Oswego Speedway as the featured racing venue in the show issue of PRI Magazine.
