OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway is proud to join the Oswego Bicycle Rodeo presented by the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board, the Oswego Fire Department, and the Oswego Police Department to be held on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the East Fire Station in Oswego.
The Oswego County Traffic Board, Oswego Fire and Police Departments are working together to manage the event, which will see young participants guided through a cone course at a slow pace in a safe, controlled environment to help teach bicycle safety.
Participants must bring their own bike, and free helmets will be given away to those in need.
The event will be held rain or shine.
While bicycle safety will be the key initiative of the rodeo, there will also be several activities taking place.
Oswego Speedway will be a prime focus of the evening with the Burritt Motors Chevrolet Silverado Pace Truck on hand as well as the speedy racers of Stephen Gioia III, Jack Patrick, and Camden Proud.
Oswego Speedway, Chris Nelson’s State Farm Insurance, the Port of Oswego, and Domino’s are also sponsoring a chance for anyone under the age of 18, who completes the safety course, to win brand new Trek bicycles.
There will also be a bike repair station provided by Doyle’s Bike Sales of Fulton.
