OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway is proud to be able to give back to the community that has given so much to the ‘Steel Palace’ over its now 63-year history.
With the 2013 calendar year now on the door step, the Speedway is eager to continue into the new season.
Since 2011, Oswego Speedway has given back over $20,000 in contributions to those throughout the local community, including its can drive donations to the Novelis Cans for the Community program.
Last season saw the beginning of a heightened volunteer and fundraising effort at the Speedway with the ‘Racing for Ronald McDonald House Walk’ benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central New York.
This effort went along with the continuation of the Make-a-Wish Foundation ride in the Canale Insurance 2-Seat Supermodified, granting yet another young race fan the wish of riding in a Supermodified at Oswego Speedway.
Those efforts will continue in 2013 with the ‘Racing for Ronald McDonald House Walk’ slated for Saturday, June 8 and the addition of a ‘Toys for Tots’ drive at the Speedway on July 6.
The Speedway continues to look for ways to create opportunities for tremendous causes in the local community. Whether it is through charitable donations, volunteer efforts, or fundraising gatherings, the Speedway is committed to giving back to its great community.
Those who would like Oswego Speedway to be a part of their cause in 2013 are asked to please submit requests to the Speedway no later than February 1.
At that point each will be reviewed and confirmations will be returned in the timeliest manner possible.
Oswego Speedway looks forward to supporting those in the community who are giving back to a greater cause, and this process will allow the Speedway to evaluate all organizations as a whole, helping to ensure that all donation needs are met.
