Oswego State Mens Club Hockey Team Begins Second Half of Season

Returning to campus a week early, the Oswego State Mens Club Hockey team is gearing up for a strong start to the second half of their season.

The Lakers travel to RIT on Friday, January 22 for a 9:00 non-league ACHA contest. The game will be played at the ESL Center.

On Saturday, January 23, Oswego travels to Syracuse to face the Orange for a 6:30 contest. Oswego defeated Syracuse earlier in the season behind a stellar 50 save performance from sophomore goaltender Mike Reid. This game is an ACHA non-league contest although Syracuse will be joining the NECHL for the 2010-1 season. They are currently members of the ECHL.

Oswego returns home on Saturday, January 30 for an afternoon game with NECHL member Cortland.

Local players on the team are senior defenseman Greg Distin ( Fulton ) and sophomore forward Greg King (Oswego).

The team is a member of the ACHA Division 1 and of the NECHL whose members include Binghamton, Cornell, Cortland, Penn State – Berks, Ithaca, Rutgers and St. Bonaventure.
