BROCKPORT, NY – The Oswego State men’s soccer team was defeated by host Brockport 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the team’s record drops to 4-9-2 on the year and 3-4-1 in conference.
Brockport moves to 8-2-5 on the season, 3-2-2 in the SUNYAC.
Oswego’s only goal came in the second half as Nick Zingaro dribbled the ball into the box and was able to beat the keeper, making it 3-1 with 20:30 left in the game.
The Lakers got down early as the Golden Eagles’ Collin Goettel scored on a direct kick 13:38 into the game.
The Golden Eagles were able to tack on two more goals before the end of the half.
Peter DiLorenzo scored his second goal of the game in the 74th minute, increasing Brockport’s lead to 4-1.
Keeper Todd Lawson finished the game with five saves for the Lakers.
Men’s Soccer will be back on the road for a 1 p.m. game Oct. 25 against Cortland.
