Oswego State Selected For NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament; Earn First Round Bye

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team, which carries an overall record of 22-4, earned one of four at-large bids in the 2011 NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament. The Lakers received a first-round bye and will face the winner of Bowdoin/Neumann on Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. Bowdoin and Neumann will square off on Wednesday, March 9 at 7 p.m. at Bowdoin.

Tickets will be available for current season ticket holders and SUNY Oswego students on Monday, March 7. Tickets will be made available to the general public on Wednesday, March 9.

Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $3 for SUNY Oswego students with valid college ID. The Campus Center Box Office hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday through Friday and may be reached at (315) 312-3073. Online tickets may be purchased at tickets.oswego.edu beginning Wednesday, March 9.

The winner of Saturday’s quarterfinal game will face the winner of Adrian/Elmira on Friday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. CT at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minn.

SUNYAC Champion Plattsburgh earned a bye into the quarterfinal round and will take on the winner of Norwich/Curry. The Cardinals are on the opposite side of the bracket.
