Oswego State Volleyball Drops Pair At Potsdam/Victory Promotions Invitational

POTSDAM, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team dropped a pair of three-set matches against Plattsburgh and St. Michael’s at the Potsdam/Victory Promotions Invitational on Friday.  The Lakers fell to Plattsburgh by the scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-15 and St. Michael’s by the scores of 25-10, 25-8, 25-16 to move to 0-2 on the season.

Against the Cardinals, Kara Michelsen dished out 17 assists with Stephanie Bailey and Kim Grice putting away five kills each with Danielle Groat adding three kills.  Defensively, Sam Manicone recorded 12 digs to go along with one service ace.

In the nightcap versus St. Michael’s, Manicone tallied eight digs, while Michelsen posted six assists, one block and one service ace.  Bailey also contributed two kills and three blocks.

Oswego State will face Cazenovia and SUNYIT tomorrow to wrap up the tournament.
