The Oswego State volleyball dropped matches to Middlebury (3-0) and Utica (3-1) to conclude the final day of the Potsdam Invitational on Saturday. The Lakers lost to Middlebury by the scores of 25-10, 25-9, 25-16 and to Utica by the scores of 25-23, 21-25, 16-25, 16-25.
For the second day, Jess Isgro (So., Brockport, N.Y.) paced Oswego offensively as she recorded four kills against Middlebury and six against Utica. Katie van Kessel (So., Millbrook, N.Y.) had a well-rounded performance in the match versus Utica as she posted nine kills, seven digs, and three service aces.
Liz Crouch (Jr., Honeoye Falls, N.Y.) tallied six assists against Middlebury, while Stephany Olsheski (Fr., Brockport, N.Y.) recorded 30 assists in the second game of the day. From the backrow, Kelsey Ihle (Fr., Clarence Center, N.Y.) contributed nine digs in each contest.
The Lakers, who are 2-6 overall, continue tournament play next weekend when they compete at the two-day Union Invitational beginning on Friday, September 18.
