Oswego State volleyball team drops two matches

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Oswego State volleyball team (10-13) dropped a pair of matches to Cazenovia, 3-1 (25-20, 25-27, 13-25, 20-25), and Mount St. Mary, 3-0 (18-25, 17-25, 25-27), on Saturday.

Against the host Wildcats, Kayla Pawlewicz (Jr., Fulton, N.Y.) and Kelsey Dillon (Fr., Deer Park, N.Y.) paced the offense with nine kills each.

Meaghan Puff (Jr., Newfane, N.Y.) posted 11 digs, while Pawlewicz added 10 digs of her own. Stephany Olsheski (Sr., Brockport, N.Y.) and Brittany Jones (Sr., Lake George, N.Y.) tallied 20 and 12 assists, respectively.

In the second match of the day, Chelsea Crump (Sr., Sandy Creek, N.Y.) tallied eight kills, while Kara Michelsen (So., Lake View, N.Y.) handed out 24 assists to go along with 11 digs. Libero Kelsey Ihle (Sr., Clarence Center, N.Y.) registered 22 digs.

Oswego State hosts Cortland on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
