Oswego State volleyball tops Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – In a rematch from Saturday, the Oswego State volleyball team (9-9) dropped the first set to Morrisville (3-10), 25-22, but fought back to win the next sets, 25-13, 25-20, and 25-19 Wednesday.

Meaghan Puff (Jr., Newfane, N.Y.) posted a double-double after finishing with 12 kills and 12 digs. Stephanie Bailey (So., Scotia, N.Y.) recorded 19 kills and four blocks. Kelsey Ihle (Sr., Clarence Center, N.Y.) tallied 14 digs.

The Mustangs were paced by seven kills from Kylie Murphy and Dayna Scurry, while Lindsay Easterly finished with 22 assists.

The Lakers return to Max Ziel Gymnasium with a match on Friday against SUNY Canton at 7 p.m. before facing Utica on Saturday at 1 p.m.
