Oswego State Women’s Basketball Falls To Oneonta

OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego State women’s basketball team was defeated 66-54 by visiting Oneonta on Tuesday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium.

With the loss, the Lakers fall to 3-7 overall and 1-2 in SUNYAC action while the Red Dragons improve to 7-3, 2-1.

Oswego was led by a trio on offense as Alison Nunziato, Heather Hebert and Rachael Windhausen all finished with 10 points.

Nunziato shot 66.7% (4-for-6) from the field, including a perfect 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.

Windhausen missed a double-double by just one rebound, collecting nine boards to go along with two blocks.

Lindsay Johnson and Courtney Ameele aided the effort on the glass, grabbing nine and eight, respectively.

Ameele tied Windhausen for a team-best in blocks, also notching two, and scored eight points.

Ameele was also busy on defense, nabbing three steals, just one short of Alisha Jacobs’ Laker-high four.

Oswego will return to the court at 7:30 p.m. on Friday when it travels to Cortland for another conference tilt.
