OSWEGO, NY – Oswego Speedway and its headline Novelis Supermodified division will debut on MAVTV’s Speed Sport Thursday at 8 p.m. EST and PST, with a one-hour broadcast of the May 24 running of the Jim Shampine Memorial 75.
The broadcast will be hosted by veteran announcer Ralph Sheheen and former NASCAR champion and Budweiser International Classic starter Johnny Benson.
Joining Sheheen and Benson on the broadcast will be former NEMA Midget driver turned pit road personality, Derek Pernesiglio. Pernesiglio will not only cover the action on pit lane, but also provide in depth analysis on several informative features throughout the broadcast on Supermodifieds and Oswego Speedway.
Speed Sport showcases traditional forms of racing from across the country on MAVTV.
Seeking out the very best American Real motorsports action in our nation, Speed Sport will bring a national viewing audience to Oswego Speedway and Supermodified racing on Thursday night.
Several of Oswego Speedway’s Novelis Supermodified drivers and teams will be focused on and featured in the 60-minute broadcast, including features on the Muldoon Racing No. 51 Supermodified as well as Speedway veteran Joey Payne of Strong/Graham Racing.
Speed Sport and MAVTV’s partnership with Oswego Speedway will continue beyond Thursday night’s broadcast.
The 58th annual Budweiser International Classic, which will take place on August 31, will also be broadcast as a part of Speed Sport’s schedule on MAVTV on September 25.
MAVTV is available across the United States through local cable and video providers and via satellite on DirecTV channel 214 and DISH channel 248.
Those viewing in the Syracuse area with Time Warner Cable can find MAVTV on channel 402.
Those in the Central New York area unable to view MAVTV through their local providers can view the broadcast at Lighthouse Lanes, located on Jim Shampine Drive in Oswego.
