Oswego to do maintenance flushing on the eastside

The city of Oswego Department of Public Works Water maintenance personnel will be performing preventative maintenance flushing of the water distribution system on the eastside of the city starting September 23.

The affected area will be south of State Route 104E to East Utica Street and from East First Street to the eastern city limits, starting at East First and Bridge streets.

It is estimated the project will take approximately three to four weeks to complete.

During this time, commercial and residential customers may experience occasional cloudy or dirty water while this important maintenance task is being performed.

If this occurs, let a cold water tap run until the water clears, usually 20 to 30 minutes.

If this does not remedy the situation, please call the Department of Public Works at 342-4212 and a supervisor will contact you to address the situation.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding regarding this matter.
