Oswego versus Fulton is always a match up that generates emotions and determined efforts.
On Wednesday the Bucs and Raiders lady lacrosse teams met in not just any game, but the Section III Class B championship encounter. It was a battle throughout, but in the end the Bucs advanced to the state tournament with a 13-7 victory.
The final score was not indicative of the game. With 13:54 remaining Fulton had rallied and closed the gap to 7-6. Oswego appeared to be on a verge of a Raider comeback. However, Coach Laura Burger called a time out and the Bucs refocused.

Solid goaltending by Tayler Bowman, swarming defense, consistent ball movement and the ability not to get frustrated as the Fulton goalie was coming up with solid saves meant the victory for the Bucs. Oswego moves on to face Vestal in the state quarterfinal game at Corning at 5 p.m. on Saturday June 2.
