OSWEGO TOWN, NY – The Oswego Town Historical Society will hold its first meeting of 2013 on March 20 at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will also be an open house of sorts featuring what is new and what the society can do to serve the public.
Newly compiled volumes of local history including those on Fruit Valley, Oswego Center, Southwest Oswego and, of course, Dr. Mary Walker, will be available for viewing.
Items of Dr. Jerome Coe, an Oswego Town boy from West Fifth Street Road, who served in the Civil War, will also be on display. Dr. Coe later became a well-known doctor over in Syracuse.
The 2013 program of events for the OTHS will be available and as always, the public is cordially invited to attend.
The meeting will be held at the Oswego Town Hall, 2320 County Route 7 in Oswego Center.
