Oswego, NY – The Oswego Town Historical Society will hold its annual Veteran’s Day program November 6, 2010 at the Oswego Town Hall. The speaker will be Oswego City Veteran Council’s Veteran of the Year Marlene Knopp.

Knopp served in the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant in the Womens’ Army Corp (WAC). She will relay some of her experiences during her service to her country during the program which includes a color guard ceremony. Marlen is presently treasurer of the Oswego City Veterans Council.

The public is invited and all veterans in the area are especially welcome. Refreshments will be served. The Oswego Town Hall is located at 2320 County Route 7 near Oswego Center. The program will begin at 10 a.m.
