OSWEGO, NY – Event officials have been working non-stop to make sure the ninth annual Warm Up Oswego Festival is a success for the community.
The festival will kick off Friday, at 4 p.m. at Alex’s on the Water on the Riverwalk East – Alex’s will open its doors with a ribbon cutting and a bonfire in the firepit.
Just Push Play DJ Nate Emmons will spin some HOT Tunes and hot chocolate and cool drinks will be served up at the Riverside bar at Alex’s.
Damdog’s Larry Kyle, will host the open mic at the Music Hall’s McCrobie Center at 41 Lake St., at 7 p.m. and Taste the World will host Mug of Music in Canal Commons at 195 W. First St.
The Child Advocacy Center sponsors the third annual Hot Wing and Brew Competition at Lake Ontario Conference and Event Center at 20 E. First St. starting at 6 p.m. on Friday.
On Saturday, Warm Up Oswego will spice up the city with a Hot 2 Trot 2k Race at noon at the Y Armory, 265 W. First St.
Kids find Treasure in the snow beginning at 12:30 p.m., a Hot Downtown Scavenger Hunt begins at the Y Armory and continues through more than 20 downtown stores until 4 p.m.
And a Crazy Costume Sled Race beginning with a parade through the Armory at 2:30 p.m. and the race begins at 3 p.m.
A Hot Chili Cook off and a variety of performances will add to the festivities throughout the day at the YMCA Armory. Vendors and Arts and Crafts for kids will add to the fun for all ages. The YMCA Armory is the center for indoor and outdoor events for all!
The festival heats up with Fireworks by Pyrotecnico on Saturday at 6 p.m. over the Oswego River. And the Hot Spots keep the atmosphere HOT with the Elks Club Disco Inferno and Casino Night, G.S. Steamers, the Club House and Canales.
The Music Hall hosts Beau Coup Blue at the McCrobie Civic Center, 41 Lake St. at 8 p.m.
Warm Up Oswego brings out the warm spirit and the hot talent throughout Oswego this weekend.
