OSWEGO, NY – On May 9, members from the Oswego City Police Department Criminal
Investigative Division responded to a 911 dispatch for a larceny in progress at
Bosco & Geers, 343 East Ave.
Upon their arrival an employee identified the suspect to be Karen Aubertine, 25, of 217 E. Eighth St., Oswego, who was still on scene as the larceny suspect.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Aubertine allegedly fought with Bosco & Geers employees during the larceny which elevated the charge to robbery.
Aubertine was also in possession of several stolen items from a burglary which had
originally been reported to police on May 7, police said.
Aubertine was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree (C Felony), Grand
Larceny 4th Degree (E Felony), from the May 7 burglary of an east side residence.
She was also charged with Robbery in the 3rd Degree (D Felony) from the Bosco & Geers incident.
Aubertine was arraigned in Oswego City Court where she was remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bail bond.
She is scheduled to reappear in Oswego City Court on May 15 at 9:30 a.m.
