OSWEGO, NY – Members of the Zonta Club of Oswego recently presented Oswego County Opportunities Services to Aid Families program with a donation of $3,331 in support of the SAF program.

The donation represents the success of Zonta’s inaugural Witches Ball.

“Zonta is a strong supporter of the work that OCO’s SAF program does to aid survivors and victims of domestic violence, said Zonta board member and chairperson for the Witches Ball Tammy Elowsky. “Zonta members have supported SAF in many ways over the years and we are pleased that our Witches Ball was so well received by the community. It was a fun evening and I thank everyone that attended the event, our sponsors Oswego Speedway and Mystic Music Entertainment and the many venders that participated.”

The SAF program served 550 victims and survivors in 2016; including a growing number of elderly and many individuals with disabilities.

SAF continues to provide support and advocacy for victims and survivors of domestic violence in Oswego County.

“We’re thrilled that the Zonta Club of Oswego established the Witches Ball to not only raise funds for SAF, but to raise awareness of domestic violence in Oswego County, said SAF community response coordinator Stacie France. “We appreciate the continued support received from Zonta and the tremendous effort the members put into organizing the Witches Ball. Oswego Zonta Club members have provided SAF with donations for more than 20 years. Their generosity helps SAF meet the needs of victims of domestic violence and their families.”

If you or someone you know is a victim or survivor of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence or stalking, call the Crisis Hotline at (315) 342-1600.
