OSWEGO — Oswego Health’s commitment to the community extends beyond providing exceptional care—it also includes investing in the people who deliver that care. As one of the largest employers in Oswego County, the health system continues to demonstrate its dedication to workforce development by offering unique career-building opportunities.
This summer, The Manor at Seneca Hill celebrated the graduation of four new Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) through its paid on-the-job training program—the only program of its kind in Oswego County. The five-week, 240-hour program combines classroom instruction, lab work, and clinical training. Participants are employed full-time during the program and, upon graduation, seamlessly transition into CNA roles with the skills and confidence needed to begin their careers in healthcare.
The most recent graduates—Alexia Aubertine, Addison Nichols, Allyssa Rivera, and Olivia Collins—represent the next generation of compassionate caregivers who will provide direct support to residents at The Manor and to the broader healthcare system.
According to Andrea Doviak, RN, Executive Director at The Manor at Seneca Hill:
“This program is so much more than a training opportunity—it’s an investment in people. As someone who began my own healthcare journey as a CNA, I know the power of a program like this to change lives. Oswego Health is proud to provide the tools and support needed to help employees grow their careers right here in our community.”
The CNA program reflects Oswego Health’s larger commitment to career advancement. In addition to CNA training, the organization offers tuition assistance, mentorship, and career pathways for Phlebotomists, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Certified Medical Assistants. These initiatives ensure a strong pipeline of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to serving the region both now and in the future.
By prioritizing professional growth and educational support, Oswego Health is building a stronger workforce and, in turn, a stronger community.
? Enrollment is now open for the next CNA training session at The Manor. For more information or to register, call 315-349-5300 or visit www.oswegohealth.org/cna[1]
