OSWEGO, NY – Area students can learn more about careers in the health care field at Oswego Hospital’s MASH Camp (Medical Academy of Science and Health) to be held Aug. 1 and 2.
The camp is open to students entering the eighth or ninth grade in the fall.

During the camp, students will learn about a variety of healthcare professions, as well as the education, skills and duties these positions require.
The students will then participate in interactive hands-on activities that highlight those skills, equipment, technology, and resources used by medical professionals each day.
MASH Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Space is limited to 20 and there is an application review process.
Applications are available online at www.cnyahec.org The deadline for applying is May 4.
Students who participate in the camp will pay a small fee to cover the cost of hospital scrubs and other camp supplies.
Scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the registration fee.
The camp is coordinated by the Central New York Area Health Education Center. CNYAHEC is a non-profit health workforce development organization located in Cortland that serves 14 counties in central New York including Oswego County. Program sponsors include Oswego Health, CNYAHEC and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.
