Oswego’s Harborfest Celebrates 26th Year With World Renowned Fireworks By Grucci

Once again, Entergy Nuclear will sponsor the “Fireworks Spectacular by Grucci” and highlight the festivities of Oswego’s Harborfest, New York State’s premier admission-free festival.

The fireworks are synonymous with Harborfest and are even a part of the logo for the festival.

The “Fireworks Spectacular by Grucci” seems to get better with each passing year and there is little doubt that the 26th version of this world class display will be the best yet.

According to company president, Phil Grucci, “New technology will allow to us produce specific designs in the 2013 show which have never been seen before at Harborfest.”

Fireworks by Grucci has prepared a fantastic one-of-a-kind display that is sure to dazzle the audience.

The program will be an expansive fireworks display with numerous types of exclusive patented theme bursts with specialty designed shells in an array of colors.

In addition to Entergy being the exclusive sponsor of the “Fireworks Spectacular by Grucci,” Y94 FM in Syracuse is the promotional radio media sponsor leading up to the event and they will be on hand to introduce Live Wire, the AC/DC tribute band, on the Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park on show night.

During the fireworks, bring a portable radio and listen to the long-time partner, WNYO at 88.9 FM, as the Entergy coordinated fireworks song list is simulcast.

About Oswego Harborfest:
Harborfest is a 4-day/night admission free festival held annually during the last full weekend of July. The 26th Anniversary edition of Harborfest will take place July 25-28, 2013 and will feature live music and entertainment, the Harborfest Family Park featuring the Children’s Musical along with programming and activities for families, the Juried Arts & Crafts venue.

Each year, in addition to the great music and entertainment featured at Harborfest, an educational cultural component/theme is chosen; in 2011 was Great Britain, and in 2010 it was France.

For the 25th Anniversary of Harborfest in 2012, it was War of 1812. The French and British were the two main adversaries because of trade restrictions the British introduced to impede trade between the French and United States during the early 1800s. In 2014, the culmination of remembering the War of 1812 concludes as the theme will commemorate the bicentennial of the “Battle of Fort Oswego” which was fought on May 6, 1814.

Sure wish we COULD have seen the fireworks! We came from the Fair Haven area, and planned to park at the paking lot where we parked before, and catch to bus to downtown. Could find NO bus or trolley stops, and no one else seemed to know anything about them, even the policeman that we asked.

I love your fireworks and was very disappointed not to be able to get close. We tried to drive & park, but with so many streets closed, it was impossible. We started looking for parking/shuttles around 6:00.

    Hope it’s better next year….
