Pair Charged In Connection With Theft at National Grid Site

OSWEGO, NY – A Parish teen and a Mexico man are facing charges in connection with a theft at a National Grid site last month.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, William H. Horning, 17, of 63 Crim Road, Parish, was arrested for third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony; third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class D felony; and fifth-degree conspiracy, a class A misdemeanor.

The arrest follows the investigation into an incident that occurred on May 12 in the town of Albion where Metal Davit arms were stolen from a National Grid site.

Horning was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court by Hon. Judge Adkins.

He was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.

He is to return to Town of Albion Court on July 2.

At 8:15 p.m., Jason A. Moot, 22, of 202 Fravor Road, Mexico, was arrested for third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony; third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class D felony; and fifth-degree conspiracy, a class A misdemeanor, for his alleged participation in the stealing of the Metal Davit arms in the town of Albion.

Moot was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court.

He was remanded to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.

He is to appear Town of Albion Court on July 2.

This case remains an open investigation.
