OSWEGO, NY – Two men are in custody, charged with stealing televisions and cash from an Oswego County home.
At 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Corie J. Shoop, 18, of 218 Hogsback Road., Hastings, was arrested for second-degree burglary, a class C felony; third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony and fourth-degree conspiracy, a class E felony.
The arrest stems from an investigation into his alleged participation into an incident that occurred on May 9 in the town of Palermo where two flat screen televisions and a safe containing more than $3,000 in cash were stolen.
Shoop was arraigned in the Town of Palermo Court before Hon. Judge Wood and remanded to OCJ in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond with a return to Town of Palermo Court on June 4.
At the same time, Kenneth Michael Reed, 22, of 26 Northern Blvd., Central Square, was arrested for third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony; second-degree burglary, a class C felony and fourth-degree conspiracy, a class E felony and for his alleged participation in the theft of the TVs and the cash.
Reed was also arraigned in the Town of Palermo Court and remanded to OCJ in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond with a return to court on June 4.
Reed was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor, after he was allegedly found to be in possession of the two flat screen televisions stolen from the town of Palermo residence.
Reed was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Hastings Court on June13.
