FULTON, NY – In an effort to support the United Way Stuff-A-Bus campaign, area businesses will be selling paper buses to help raise money to purchase school supplies for students in Oswego County who are in need for the upcoming school year.
Working in collaboration with school districts throughout Oswego County, United Way is looking to Stuff- A-Bus with school supplies.
“Every year, hundreds of children in Oswego County will enter school without the necessary school supplies and hundreds more will run out of the necessary supplies before the school year is over,” said Melanie Trexler, executive director of the United Way. “The goal of the Stuff-A- Bus campaign is to prepare children in Oswego County for a successful school year by ensuring they have the school supplies they need. Last year’s campaign served approximately 1,400 students in Oswego County and we are hopeful to serve even more this year.”
The money raised from selling the paper buses will go to purchase items that are less likely to be donated such as backpacks and scientific calculators.

All Pathfinder Bank locations in Oswego County.
Staples, Route 104 in Oswego.

“We are hoping to get even more companies and individuals involved in our Stuff-A-Bus campaign as we are looking to fill eight buses with school supplies this year,” added Trexler.
