Parish Chamber of Commerce Sponsors Community Dinner Nov. 29

PARISH – Local residents will have a chance to gather with friends and neighbors, honor a longtime resident for her years of service, and learn the latest information from research about their town at the Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerce annual chamber dinner and election night Tuesday, Nov. 29.

The dinner will be held at the Grist Mill Restaurant beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner choices are ham steak, pork chops, chicken breast, or chicken garden salad, with beverage and dessert. The first three choices include potato and side dish. The dinner price is $20 and includes tax, tip and a $2 donation to the family of Collin Smith, a nine-year-old student at Parish Elementary School who passed away in October.

John Bartow, executive director, and Katie Malinowski, associate director of natural resources for the New York State Tug Hill Commission, are guest speakers for the evening. They will present information gathered from their survey of Tug Hill residents and landowners, along with highlights of the re-use plan being developed for the Parish Elementary School. Local officials will honor Gloria White for her many years of service as Parish tax collector.
