Parish Elementary School students nab writing honors

<p>Two Parish Elementary School first grade students were recognized for their writing achievements by the Oswego Reading Council. Hailey Kennedy, left, won first place in the organization’s annual writing contest and her classmate Katherine Kinney was awarded second place. Writing contest winners attended a ceremony in late May where they were honored by Oswego Reading Council Writing Contest Chair Lisa M. Buske and presented with certificates of achievement, ribbons and prizes. The two students are pictured above with their teacher Stephanie Huebner.</p>
<p>Grasea Crandall, left, and Vanessa Dupree were honored by the Oswego Reading Council at an annual writing contest awards ceremony. Grasea is a second grade student at Parish Elementary School and captured a second place award in the writing contest while Vanessa, also a second grade student, won a third place award in the contest. The two students are pictured above with their teacher Michelle Kelley.</p>
<p>Capturing first place in the third grade level of the Oswego Reading Council’s annual writing contest was Parish Elementary School third grade student Miranda Hamilton. Miranda is pictured above with her teacher Kimberly Roberts.</p>
