The Parish Olde Home Day will be co-sponsored by the Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerce and the Parish Town Historical Society with the Cooperation of the Town and Village of Parish on Saturday, August 7. It will be a great day with some old traditions an techniques along with new ideas. The festivities will be held at the Rte 69 & 69A Corner lot, beginning at 9 a.m.
There will be animals, crafters, food, beverages, demonstrations, games and more! Here are some of the vendors that will be joining the activities: Aunt Nette Kountry Kritters; Bristol â€™s Weather Haven Farmâ€“ promotion of New York Hereford Breederâ€™s Association; Dancing Goat Farmâ€“ goat products; Ed Doneganâ€“ the art of snowshoe making; Exotic Allure Jewelry and Varietyâ€“ jewelry and gifts; Fifty Plus Clubâ€“ collecting for the Parish Ecumenical Food Pantry; Florence Gardner ,â€“ chair caning; Henry Gloudeâ€“ chain saw wood carving demonstration and products; Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerceâ€“ food stand- hamburgers, hotdogs and beverages; Hives of Howardâ€“ bees and honey products; Shirley Jenkins-Avon; Andy Miller – Amish produce and baked goods; Sheila Nitsky- plants and flowers; Parish Faith Church of the Nazarene- children’s games; Parish Senior Dining and Activity Center- promoting the Aug. 26 Extraordinaire (formerly called candlelight) dinner; Parish Town Historical Society- promotion and sale items and Arnie Herbert rocking chair raffle; Parish United Methodist Church-home made ice cream; Ann Passamore- showing quilts, blankets and baskets; Matt Polcaro- with his sled dogs; Precious Petals Florist and Gifts- flowers and gifts; Sue Romanowski demonstrating the process of pickle making; Chet Sayer- bluebird house raffle for the food pantry; Skunk Meadows Poultry Ranch-ducks and poultry products; Tricia Snyder- goat products, small animals and eggs; TOPS (Taking Pounds Off Sensibly) promoting new chapter; “Young Living Oils” – Dixie and Eric Vincent and more.
