Parish Woman Charged With Welfare Fraud

OSWEGO – On Sept. 8, at 5 p.m., Sonya J. Fellows, 29, of 3250 SR 69, Parish, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for third degree grand larceny, a class D felony; third degree welfare fraud, a class D felony; and five counts of first degree offering a false instrument for filing, a class E felony.

The arrest stems from an investigation conducted by the Oswego County Department of Social Services.

She allegedly received services due to not reporting income.

Fellows is scheduled to answer the charges in the Town of Mexico Court on 10/6/15.
