Oswego, NY – Pathfinder Bank has been named the event sponsor of the Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation Golf and Hockey Classic to be held July 25th in Oswego, according to event organizer Kevin Caraccioli.

This marks the sixth year that Pathfinder Bank has been the presenting sponsor of this event.

“We truly appreciate Pathfinder Bank’s continued dedication to Erik and the Dream Big Foundation,” said Caraccioli. “We’re looking forward to another great weekend and greatly value the ongoing support that Pathfinder Bank provides this event.”

The Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation was established in 2007 by Oswego-native, NHL hockey player, Stanley Cup Champion, and U.S. Olympian Erik Cole. The non-profit organization was created to support youth hockey programs, as well as children who are suffering from cancer and other diseases.

“Pathfinder Bank always looks forward to this summer golf and hockey tradition in Oswego,” said Thomas W. Schneider president and CEO at Pathfinder Bank. “We value the partnership with Erik and his foundation, and strongly support the organization’s mission and outreach.”

According to Caraccioli, this year’s golf tournament will showcase Cole, as well as other NHL players, national and regional media, and local celebrities. Celebrities committed thus far include: Former Carolina Hurricane Teammates Joe Corvo and Justin Peters, as well as NHL player and Fulton-native Rob Schremp.

The golf event will be a four-person captain-n-crew format, and corporate teams will receive 18 holes of golf at the Oswego Country Club, golf cart, lunch, cocktail party, dinner, tee and green signage and a gift bag. Individual fees include everything but the tee and green signage. Tickets for the cocktail party and dinner can be purchased separately for $50 per person.

Breakfast, registration and goodie bag pickup, as well as use of the Oswego Country Club Driving Range and Putting Green will be available from 9-11 a.m. Team photos and celebrity introductions will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Cocktails and a silent auction begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner, an awards presentation, and live auction starting at 6 p.m.

A light breakfast and coffee for the hockey and golf events will be served, as well as lunch at the turn during the golf tournament.

In addition to the traditional golf event, the 3-on-3 Youth Hockey Classic will return as young regional hockey and sledge hockey players show off their talents at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center Ice Arena on July 22-24.

This year’s weekend activities will also include the Hockey Hall of Fame exhibit from Toronto on July 23rd at the Campus Center, as well as an NHL Player Exhibition that day, as Cole and many of his NHL friends and teammates take the ice to show off their unique talents. In addition, the popular hockey-themed musical group The Zambonis will perform at the Campus Center during the NHL Player Exhibition.

The field of teams for both the 3-on-3 youth hockey classic and golf tournament have been filled according to Caraccioli. For more information on tickets for the dinner/silent auction for Monday evening please contact the Erik Cole Dream Big Foundation.
