Paul C. Simmons, 84, of Hannibal, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday.
A native of the Town of Oswego, Paul was a life resident of the Hannibal-Oswego area. He retired in 1987 from the Town of Oswego Highway Department after 12 years. He had previously worked at the Sealright Company in Fulton for 19 years and had owned and operated a dairy farm in Hannibal. Paul was a faithful member of Southwest Oswego Baptist Church and also served as deacon. He was an army veteran of the Korean War, serving in Augusta, GA with the Signal Corps.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Virginia M. Stock of Hannibal; a son, David P. (Bethany) Simmons of Hannibal; a daughter, Nancy A. (Keith) Kyle of Hannibal; a brother, Neil (Joan) Simmons of Oswego; a sister, Mary (Mark) Stock of Hannibal; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal with services to immediately follow at 7 p.m. Burial at Oswego Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Southwest Oswego Baptist Church, 7682 State Route 104, Oswego, New York 13126.
