OSWEGO, New York – Paul’s Big M of Oswego recently supported the Oswego Salvation Army and the local community with a gift of $1,000 to the Army’s ‘I Believe’ Capital Campaign.
The gift was a result of Paul’s Big M donating a percentage of grocery sales from their store this past November 19th.
Shown pictured from left to right at a recent check presentation are Oswego Salvation Army volunteer Darlene Wright; Oswego Salvation Army Major Corinne Hayes; and Alan Manwaring, General Manager of Paul’s Big M.
The Oswego Salvation Army has reached the halfway mark in their effort to raise $1.6 million dollars to renovate and provide expanded services at their new building at 73 West Second Street in Oswego. The renovation will include a new kitchen that prepares the daily meals the Salvation Army serves to those in need.
The Oswego Salvation Army is part of the International Salvation Army organization, which is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. The local citadel provides food, education, services and spiritual support to the local community.
