Paws Across Oswego County Open House Planned

OSWEGO – On April 29, Paws Across Oswego County will hold its 13th annual open house at Paws & Effect in Oswego.

As in the past, our event will bring together local animal rescue organizations to help spread awareness about adoption and rescue.

Other attractions for the day will include our silent auction, raffles, 50/50, food, demonstrations, vendors, the New Haven Volunteer Fire Department and so much more.

3.21 Salads will be bringing its food truck to the event for the day for our guests. We will also host a bake sale with the proceeds benefiting PAOC.

The raffles available this year are quite exciting, as always.

Our prizes include a Disney Trip Package (four one-day Park Hopper Passes donated by Disney; a $100 credit to Dream Makers Travel by Deb, donated by Deb Holcomb; a $500 Visa gift card, donated by Kim Alvord; a two-night stay and waterpark admission to Great Wolf Lodge, donated by Great Wolf Lodge; an Apple iPad, donated by the generous supporters of PAOC; a $500 Amazon gift card, donated by the generous supporters of PAOC; a $200 gift certificate to Black Creek Animal Clinic, donated by Black Creek Animal Clinic; and a handmade entertainment unit, built by Harvey Fadden and donated by the Faddens.

PAOC will be selling raffle tickets until the drawing, which will be live streamed on Facebook for our guests at 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are available for $2 each, 10 tickets for $10, or 25 tickets for $20.

Our silent auction includes more than $5,000 in products generously donated by local and national businesses.

Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on both human and pet related baskets and gift certificates.

We have many great vendors attending this year for our guests – including LuLaRoe, Color Street, Harley’s Barkery, Barks and Crafts, Full Rut Beard Care, Good Karma Handy Crafts, Perfectly Posh, NY Sprinkles by John and Christina (Pink Zebra), Jammin with Mama Jo, Brown Feather and Me Gemstone Jewelry, Bags To Go by Michelle, Scripts and Snips, AYA Project – Humantiarian Missions to the Ivory Coast, Thrive Life Food, I Need Oils – Young Living, Thirty One Gifts, Lotus Beauty with Amanda Schmitt (Senegence Cosmetics), The Craft Closet, and By The Water Design.

Demonstrations will be taking place throughout the day to keep our guests entertained.

Jill Tice from Enticeing Agility, and State Trooper Shaun Smith with his K9 Partners Garrett and Retired K9 Doyle, and Thom Benedetto with his Search and Rescue canines Philip and Leela will all be showing off their abilities during the event.

Charlotte and Sawyer from the Reading for Rescue series will be hosting their Kissing and Hugging Booth and visiting with all of our guests as their human companions’ autograph books.

Our foster celebrity, Kevin, will be attending in his favorite spot behind the counter with the employees.

Paws Across Oswego County’s open house will be operating from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. to accommodate all the activities of the day.
