Pet of the Week – Tika

OSWEGO – Tika is a major cuddler and lap sitter.

She will let you hold her upside down like a baby.

She loves, loves, loves attention.

She will create a toy out of anything she finds and she loves to ride around on your shoulder.

She is really a fun little cat, about 8 months old and very pretty, with gorgeous steel gray fur.

What you need to know about Tika is that when we rescued her from a very unhappy situation, she had a severe upper respiratory infection, also known as a rhinovirus (in people it’s called the common cold.)

While it has gotten much better, it still comes and goes-her vet says she could simply out grow it as she gets older but for now she is sometimes still a little sneezy with a runny nose (like a kid with allergies).

It’s not a big deal.

But, if you are one of those people who has a problem with cat snot—and who are those people anyway?—she is probably not the cat for you.

Please contact the OCHS office during business hours at 315-207-1070 or via email anytime to [email protected] for information on adopting Tika.

She would like to come and knock things off your counter!
