Merlin: Pet of the Week

by Contributor | October 22, 2025 11:10 am

OSWEGO – Merlin has come out of the wilderness in search of a new home. As a wizard, he hardly uses trickery and deception. As a rabbit, he is an endlessly curious fellow and very playful. His hobbies include borrowing into corners, jumping into soft piles of bedding and peeing on his favorite pillow so no one else takes it.

Merlin is a lover, not a biter; he likes to chew on wood the most, but his diet consists of rabbit pellets and hay. Because of his gorgeous, cotton candy hair, he requires daily brushing to keep knots from matting. Merlin doesn’t mind cats that don’t mind him. He definitely doesn’t want your destiny sullied by any other masters of magic and would prefer to be the only rabbit.

He’d like to think he possesses all sorts of supernatural wisdom and the ability to see the future, but maybe he’s just hopeful that his new family is out there waiting for him. Is your home the Camelot he’s looking for?

Merlin is an Angora rabbit but without a pedigree (record of purebred ancestry) and about 2 years old. He is litter-box trained. He is not neutered and is in good health. The adoption fee is $35.

If you are interested in adopting, you can download our Adoption Application at tinyurl.com/oswego-humane-app; OR if you might even consider becoming a temporary foster caregiver, we would be excited (and pay all the bills!). You can email your completed application and any questions to [email protected]!
