Phoenix Man Killed in Clay Crash

A Phoenix man died in Onondaga County today when a car hit his motorcycle.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department reports that Dale Osborn, 50, of 218 Oswego River Rd., Phoenix, was driving his motorcycle on Oswego Rd. in Clay Monday morning.

He was in the passing lane, police say.

His cycle was hit by a car driven by Martin Donnelly, 77, of 5504 Grosvenor Rd.  Donnelly was leaving the parking lot of AmeriCU credit union, according to police.

Osborn was thrown from his cycle.

He was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The accident closed that stretch of highway for 90 minutes.

The Sheriff’s Department says they expect to issue tickets when the investigation is complete.
