The last week of September proved to be a busy week at Fulton Jr. High. The FJHS faculty, staff and students were busy getting ready to showcase what the Jr. Raiders have been doing so far this school year, as well as what the future holds for them at their Open House held on Wednesday, September 26th. During Open House, the five different teams held team presentations that focused on the upcoming year and curriculum mapping. The Music department discussed the concert schedules along with the musical, “The Lion King,” that students saw the following Saturday in Syracuse. In addition, the library hosted a very successful book fair!
To finish the week off, the students participated in the year’s first PBIS celebration to celebrate positive behavior. Leading up to the celebration, students watched in homeroom the movie “Helping Teens Handle Emotions” followed by a discussion on the importance of how one’s emotions affect their decision making. Afterwards, the students enjoyed tons of fun with different activities. Students played kickball, football, painted pumpkins, enjoyed the library, cooked, making leaves and bracelets and much more!
