The epitome of teamwork, Granby Elementary sixth grade students Ashlea Kemp, Vanessa Waldron, Paige Blakeman, and Kiera Ripley work together to race towards the finish line of the Buddy Walker Race. The race was one of over a dozen fun, challenge, and teamwork-inspired activities that were incorporated into the school’s annual game day event for students.
Kindergarten students at Granby Elementary School participated in a variety of parachute games at the school’s annual game day event. In the above photo, students Ashley Garbutt, Tate Tucker, and Walter Crofoot, along with about 20 other classmates, turned the parachute into a giant tent and crawled inside. Game day at Granby Elementary School is coordinated by the school’s physical education department and includes activities that promote teamwork and physical fitness.
The Belly Ball Relay Race is a staple at Granby Elementary School’s annual game day event. Students Dayton Sievers and Chloe Bonoffski, above, try their hand at the relay race and found out quickly that teamwork and communication are more important than speed and agility.
