Piano Recital Set May 9 at Church

OSWEGO, NY – Dr. Jerry Exline, well-known musical talent and teacher, will provide a piano recital on May 9 at 2 p.m. at Faith United Church, 12 Mark Fitzgibbons Drive, Oswego (next to the Middle School).

The recital, entitled “My Favorite Encores and Unlimited Desserts,” will be a sharing of many traditional and contemporary pieces played on the congregation’s new Boston piano.

Following the recital, a dessert fellowship will follow.

A freewill offering will be received.

Dr. Exline holds a Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester.  He also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Michigan and a diploma from the Sherwood School of Music.

He previously taught at Oswego State University and served as chair of the Department of Music from 1989 – 1996.

An accomplished pianist, he has performed numerous recitals throughout Central New York.

In addition, he is leader and keyboardist of the Jerry Michaels Ensemble and Jazz Co-Op, is a member of CNYAMT and preformed with the Beartac Jass Band of Syracuse.

He is currently on the faculty of LeMoyne College.
