Pistell Shares Program on Shineman Foundation at Fulton Lions Meeting

Lauren Pistell, (left), executive director of the Richard S. Shineman Foundation, was the featured speaker at the Fulton Lions Club October 17 meeting.  With her, (above), is Fulton Lions Club President Don LaBarge.  Pistell explained that the foundation was established by the bequest of Richard S. Shineman, who was a tenured professor of chemistry at SUNY Oswego.  The mission of the foundation is to use its financial resources to work with not-for-profit organizations to enhance the quality of life in Central New York, and in particular, Oswego County. The Fulton Lions Club, also know for their Lions Loot Sweepstakes and annual Duck Derby, provides financial assistance for those in need of eyeglasses, eye exams and hearing aids to residents in the Greater Fulton area.
