PJC to Announce Golden Quote Award Winners at December meeting

Oswego, NY – Michele Reed, president of the Professional Journalists & Communicators of Oswego County has announced that the group will hold its annual Golden Quotes Award Dinner on Thursday, December 10th at Springside at Seneca Hill. The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the winners of the PJC’s Golden Quotes Awards, which recognizes area professionals for their work in the categories of journalism, marketing, public relations, and broadcasting.

Serving as the master of ceremonies for the evening will be special guest, Rich Yacobush, director of sales and general sales manager for Clear Channel Communications in Syracuse. A native of Elma, NY, Yacobush graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1977. While at SUNY Oswego Yacobush was a play-by-play announcer for Oswego State football and hockey games and spent four years on the air at WRVO-FM. Yacobush began his professional career at WOLF in Syracuse and has spent the past 22 years with Clear Channel Communications in Syracuse. Radio Ink Magazine named him Director of Sales of the Year in 2006 and 2009.

The PJC Golden Quotes Award Dinner, which begins at 5:00 p.m. on December 10th at Springside at Seneca Hill, is open to the public. The cost to attend is $25 for members, $30 for non-members and includes a complete buffet dinner.
