Director Inez Parker has announced the cast of the upcoming Oswego Players’ production of “Guys and Dolls” to be staged this July in the Oswego Civic Arts Center.
This will be Parker’s seventh consecutive summer musical with the Players, having begun her run in 2009 with “Meet Me in St. Louis.”
Last year’s show, “Gypsy” was a huge success and the expectation is that “Guys and Dolls” will fill the Frances Marion Brown Theater for each performance.
Cast members include Knate MacKenzie-Roy, Rita Warlock, Michael LeBarbera, Callie Gross, Ed Lewis, Nic MacLane, Patrick Carman, Mike Bokio, Marsha Preston, Erin Chetney, Emily Yamada, Tammy Wilkinson, Stephanie Johnson, Leah Mullen, Mike Moss, Nelson Metz, Tom Montague, Austin Clark and Norman Berlin III.
Music director for the show is Abel Searor, choreographer is Stephfond Brunson, stage manager is Norman Berlin III and costumier is Marie Sterphone.
“Guys and Dolls,” a musical fable of Broadway is based on the stories and characters of Damon Runyon with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows is presented through special arrangements with Music Theater International.
This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered by CNY Arts.
“Guys and Dolls” will be performed in the Frances Marion Brown Theater of the Oswego Civic Arts Center on July 3, 4, 10, 11 at 8 p.m. and July 12 at 2 p.m.
