OSWEGO, NY – The identity of the body found in Lake Ontario on May 1, 2010 has been determined.
Oswego Police, working with the Onondaga County Medical Examinerâ€™s Office and the Oswego County Sheriffâ€™s Department, have determined the identity to be that of 61-year-old Robert E. Arden of County Route 57, Oswego.
The Oswego County Sheriffâ€™s Department had listed Mr. Arden as a missing person on April 2.
According to Police Chief Michael J. Dehm Jr., â€œMr. Arden was positively identified through a fingerprint comparison. The investigation into the exact cause is still pending but, at this time, there is no evidence that suggests that Mr. Ardenâ€™s death was the result of foul play.â€
