ALBANY, NY – Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay released the following statement today.
“We have only scratched the surface on getting complete answers and information on the Cuomo Administration’s nursing home coverup. It’s clear there is much more to uncover.
The people who admitted they intentionally hid information from the public, the press and from lawmakers have spent more than enough time operating in the shadows.
The Cuomo Administration should immediately release the full transcript of its recent closed-door meeting with Democrat legislators.
It’s taken lawsuits, court orders, an Attorney General investigation, Department of Justice inquiry and leaked recording to finally uncover some portion of the truth.
Refusing to provide nursing home information has proven to be a recipe for disaster for this administration. Governor Cuomo and his aides owe all New Yorkers more answers regarding the deaths of 15,000 seniors in nursing homes – not just their political allies.”
