Pope Named Red Cross’s Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month

Jack Pope is the American Red Cross of Central New York – Oswego Branch Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for November. Jack has been a volunteer with the Red Cross for approximately two years. He became interested in being a part of the Red Cross when he moved into the area. He was drawn to volunteer when he became aware of the services they provided and it was an organization he wanted to support. During his two years here Pope has volunteered at many Red Cross events, worked the parking lot during the NYS Fair, he was a drill volunteer and is more than willing to help with other volunteer duties that is asked of him.

The most rewarding experience since he has been with the Red Cross is when he was able to volunteer at the Real Heroes Breakfast that is held every December. He was very inspired by the stories of our heroes that we honor. Jack would strongly encourage others to take time out of their schedules and volunteer with the Red Cross. He finds it very satisfying to be a part of this organization.

Jack lives in Hannibal NY with his wife Susan. Jack received a BS from SUNY Cortland, MAT From UNC – Chapel Hill both in science education and advanced studies in Computer Science at SUNY Potsdam. He is the President of the Hannibal Free Library Board of Trustees. He is involved with the Hannibal Historical Society, Hannibal Dollars for Scholars Board and Friends of Beaver Lake Board of Directors.

Congratulations to Jack for being our Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month for November.
