Joan and John Piseski wish to thank everyone for the kind words and prayers for Joan.
She had a 3½-hour back operation.
The neuron surgeon reported that she came through the operation OK and Joan hopes to start walking soon.
She is in a lot of pain, the tube came out of her back and is feeling a little better but very, very tired.
Joe, Sharon and John Piseski have been doing shift work by visiting with her.
They don’t know when she will be released from Tampa Hospital; then several days in a rehab home and then back home with a visiting nurse to change dressing, etc.
Joan did such a great job caretaking for John last year and now it is his chance to care for her.
Stop by for a visit with Ann and Matt at Hall’s U Pick Blueberry Patch, 272 Dutch Hill Road West.
It is open daily. A quart of blueberries is only $2 and is chemical free.
Zory Anna (3) and Zada Dupree (2), grandchildren of Jan Morse spent the day together recently.
The ladies enjoyed lunch at the Parish Dining and Activity Center, then on to the Parish Park, followed by time spent at grandma’s house.
They enjoyed cooling down by splashing in the water game.
They had such a great time.
The New Hope Presbyterian Church members would like to extend a huge thank you to all of those that took the time to stop by and donate at the Parish Community Blood Drive that was held at the Parish Fire Station on July 20.
36 units were collected!
Special thanks to Mary Mangan, Jan Morse, Jeanette Maynes and her son, Curt, and her granddaughter, Kendra Ermini, for all of their much appreciated assistance.

With so many of us in the Carolinas, it seems like a great idea to try and get us together!
Dutch treat – drinks at 6 – we can grab dinner at 7! (Let me know if there is anyone from Parish thinking about going down – Mary Lou).
Parish Residents – Have you returned your water survey?
It is not too late, just do it!
Please return the water survey either by mail or drop it off at the Parish town/village offices.
The town and village boards appreciate your input as it is important to determine public opinion.
If you did not receive a water survey and would like to express your opinion as a property owner, please contact the town of Parish at 315-625-4507 or the village of Parish at 315-625-4592.
