Positively Parish News – Week of 11/29/2013

On December 6, the APW High School Senior class is having a blood drive with the American Red Cross from 8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.

The students and faculty have already signed up.

However, there are still a lot of donor time slots to fill!

They need your help!

If they raise more blood than they did last year, one student will receive a scholarship to help with college!

They hope to can get everyone involved.

You must be 16, with parent permission, or over.

No tattoos within the past year, and you must be healthy the day of the blood drive.

The Greater Parish Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Christmas Caroling and Tree Lighting at 6 p.m. at the Veterans’ Park.

There will be snacks and games beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Mills and Petrie Memorial Gymnasium (Village Gym).

The Annual Reading of the “Grinch Who Stole Christmas” will begin at 7 p.m. at the Village Gym.

There just might be a special guest visitor!

Community open house will be held on December 14 from noon through 4 p.m. at the Parish Public Library, 3 Church St.

Music will be provided by the “Selkirk Band” at 12:30 p.m.

Santa Claus will make his visit at 2 p.m.

Delicious refreshments will be served.

Make it a point to see the library at work in your community.
