A lot of the conversations this morning at our weekly early Friday gathering was remembering former school teachers: Loretta Haynes, Bill Higby, Florence Tassone, Elsie Farrell and I had received a lovely email from Luella Laney this week, catching me up on all the goings on in her life since selling her Parish home in September.

Gretchen Sayer joins us each week, bringing laughs and such warm memories.

What a third grade teacher she was.

One or more teachers will always have a special place in our hearts with special memories during the best years of our lives.

Chet and Gretchen Sayer shared photos from their 2012 family Christmas at their daughter, Connie and Jim Shovlin’s home.

What a blessing technology may be at times.

How many of you have been enjoying this winter weather?

I have to say I came home from church last week and got my bicycle out.

I just had to know! I can ride my bike! I only rode it down the dead end rode and back, but what a wonderful feeling.

My smile was even bigger than just a few days earlier when I was out trekking with my new snowshoes!

Life is good.

Physical therapy with Cheryl three days a week is going well my range of motion is about 85% and I am doing multiple strengthening exercises now.

I go back to my doctor on Tuesday, wish me luck!

That’s enough about me, please let me hear from you and what is going on in your life.

I caught up with Rodney Perkins (Parish’s own Australian) this week and we think all those interested in joining the Parish Bicycling Club this year should join us in early spring to plan some Saturday trips.
