Joan Wood Benjamin and Marilyn Wood of Murrells Inlet, SC, recently took their parents, Carl and Jean Wood, former Parish residents, to New Orleans, Louisiana.
They toured the French Quarter, The French Market, the World War II Museum, took a ride on a Steamboat down the Mississippi and had dinner at restaurants that played Jazz and Cajun music.
Carl and Jean will be in the Parish area the end of July for a few weeks.

The APW Class of 1963 just celebrated its 50th class reunion.
We planned a weekend of events – Friday, May 3l there were 39 people that attended our banquet at Arena’s Eis House; on Saturday, June 1, we had 27 people to celebrate at the annual APW Alumni Banquet.
Henry and Linda Phillips hosted a class picnic at their home on Sunday, June 2, where there were more than 20 in attendance.
It was a special time to gather and reminisce about the good old days at APW.
Former Parish residents Pat and Bob Humiston of Leesburg , Fla., spent a day last week with John and Joan Piseski of Zephyrhills, Fla.
It was a most enjoyable day with much reminiscing.
John presented Bob with a photo of Bob with his mother when he was a baby.
They all enjoyed dinner at a local Italian restaurant.
